The acronym of Media WELL in its expanded form is as follows: Wellness, Ethics, Literacy, and Legislation. Each of these branches is separate in definition but related in their contribution to providing a well-rounded education in Empowered Connection. The branches of Media WELL may be taught separately in individual lessons or as a whole. The Media W.E.L.L. campaign utilizes outreach practices in a mission to spread Empowered Connection among all ages.

Wellness
: the practice of making conscious and healthy choices about how you interact with modern media to promote overall well-being
Educating on Media Wellness addresses many popular negative sentiments around social media, such as its effects on mental health, attention span, and productivity. By reversing these negative effects of modern media, specifically social media, individuals are one step closer to achieving Empowered Connection.

Educating on Media Ethics teaches everyday media consumers to think like the people who produce the content they see.
